Land Rover Expeditions welcome any make of off-road 4x4 vehicles including your own personal 4x4. You are also welcome to hire a Land Rover Expedition vehicle.

Typically Lead Expedition Vehicles are Land Rover Defenders.

Vehicles & Terrain

Your Land Rover Expedition vehicles will comprise of the latest model year or the latest edition/series available. Choices range from the original Defender, the Discovery 3 and 4's and the Range Rover Sport.

The level of additional parts required for the vehicles will vary, depending on the nature of the terrain, severity of the driving and the local availability of spares.

Vehicle Capabilities

For a good Expedition vehicle it is important to know the capabilities of your vehicle and keep in mind what limitations you will run into.

Here are some of the more important aspects to think about:

• What is the availability of spares in the areas you will be travelling in?
• Does the vehicle have Low Range function?
• What is the vehicle's fuel capacity and distance that I can travel?
