Expedition Itinerary

 

Day 1

 

Your Wild Lakes Expedition heads towards the southern Lebombo Mountains at Jozini Dam. Drive through KwaZulu Natal Mountains to Manguzi (Next to Kosi Bay). The journey takes you through forested and vegetated dunes to the Indian Ocean and your camp at Banga Nek.

 

Day 2

 

Today is an adventurous exploration filled day. Venture north up to Kosi Bay mouth to take a look at the traditional fish traps which use the tides. Enjoy a bit of snorkelling. Spend a relaxing afternoon on the beach back at Banga Nek and end off the day with a turtle experience in the evening.

 

Day 3

 

You travel south along back roads and into the area of Lake Sibaya. Witness and experience the Zulu Culture and lifestyle. After the breathtaking Lake Sibaya you move on to the World Heritage site of Lake St Lucia and the KwaNibela Peninsula.

 

Day 4

 

Your morning drive takes you through the stunning Lucati sand forests of the KwaNibela Peninsula and along the edge of False-bay before you climb on the tar road at Ezimpondweni and make your way back to Hluhluwe then head back to Gauteng.

 

Expedition Information

 

Expeditions are lead by a professional Land Rover Experience Instructor and a South African Overland Guide. The lead vehicle on the Expedition is a Land Rover with a full recovery kit. Personal 4 Wheel Drive vehicles are welcome, ie: non Land Rover Expedition vehicles.

 

Available Expedition Vehicles:

 

The latest Land Rover and Range Rover fleet are available and ready for Expeditions. There is a maximum capacity of four persons per vehicle.
