Mozambique Bush to Beach Expedition
Cross into Mozambique at the Pafuri border post and then venture across the breadth of Mozambique en route to Vilanculos. The highlight of your expedition is a visit to the rehabilitated Gorongosa National Park in Central Mozambique, camping and snorkeling all along the Indian Ocean coast.

Expedition Itinerary
Day 1
The expedition meets and starts at Pafuri River Camp in the North of the Limpopo Province. Dinner will be served at 19:00. You camp at on the outskirts of the world famous Kruger National Park.
Day 2
Make your way to Pafuri border post where you enter Mozambique. Trek along the Limpopo River. Tonight you camp wild on the banks of the Limpopo River.
Day 3
Continue across the wild and beautiful reaches of Mozambique on route to the Indian Ocean. Pass various little villages and camp in the African bush under the African stars once again.
Day 4
Your destination for today is the coastal town of Vilanculos. Set up camp for two days at Blue Water Bay beach campsite for a relaxing evening with the sound of the ocean wishing you to sleep.
Day 5
Spend the day relaxing and exploring. Take a boat trip to Bazaruto Island, visit the local market in Vilanculos or go snorkeling in the warm crystal clear Indian Ocean.
Day 6
Set bearings north trekking across the Save River for Gorongosa National Park. The expedition sets up camp at Chitengo which will be your base to explore for the next few days.
Day 7
Enjoy a day out in Africa, doing game drives, savoring the magnificence of Africa or even hike up Mount Gorongosa.
Day 8
Enjoy another relaxing day in this paradise. Explore the wilderness of Africa.
Day 9
Venture south across the Save River to the sleepy coastal town of Inhassoro. Settled in at Hotel Seta campsite and sip sundowners in the bar while overlooking the azure blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
Day 10
Trek south along the EN1 reaching your campsite for the next two days at Cocos Bay Resort. Sample some of the local brew made by the Chopi people of Mozambique.
Day 11
Spend a day on the beach enjoy another tough day in Africa.
Day 12
The expedition continues heading south and makes way towards Xai-Xai. You camp at the Limpopo River mouth.
Day 13
Return into South Africa and the Kruger National Park. Camp at Letaba Camp and enjoy an extended game drive during the day.
Day 14
Today you reluctantly say our last good-byes as the expedition heads back to Gauteng.
Expedition Information
Expeditions are lead by a professional Land Rover Experience Instructor and a South African Overland Guide. The lead vehicle on the Expedition is a Land Rover with a full recovery kit. Personal 4 Wheel Drive vehicles are welcome, ie: non Land Rover Expedition vehicles.
