Expedition Itinerary

Day 1

The expedition starts and head for the Botswana border. You book into your accommodation before relaxing around a bush fire and enjoying your first evening under a starry African sky.

Day 2

An early start as the expedition heads for central Botswana onto the vast Makgadikgadi Pans. Tonight you sleep at Kubu Island. The drive along the Salt Pans is something you have never experienced speeding along at high speeds on a dirt surface smoother than any highway. However when a salt pan gets wet the fun really begins.

Day 3

Today you pass through Gweta to the Boteti River and for the campsite at Xyga near Maun.

Day 4

The expedition heads for Moremi. You climb into a Makoro for the day and silently negotiate the channels that make up the Okavango Delta where you might even get close and personal with some of Africa's "BIG 5".

Day 5

Enjoy a rest day relaxing in this beautiful and regal expanse of Africa or explore the Okavango Delta in Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 6

The expedition travels through Magwikhwe sand ridge a long stretches of thick sand making your way into the famous African wildlife haven of the Savute area. Tonight you sit around the fire while listening intently for the chuckles of a spotted hyena and the roar of the Savuti lions.

Day 7

Trek into Chobe territory and enjoy having sundowners on a boat cruise which will provide for some amazing wildlife photographic opportunities. Try your hand at fishing for the Zambezi Tiger Fish.

Day 8

Experience the astonishing sight and sounds of the awe inspiring Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls is one of the 7 Natural wonders of the world. The mighty Victoria Falls fills us with wonder and one begins to feel how Sir David Livingston felt when he first saw the splendour of the Victoria Falls or 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' (the Mist that Thunders).

Day 9

The expedition travels south through Botswana down to Francistown. You camp tonight at the Woodlands camp.

Day 10

You travel to the South African border and make your way back to Gauteng. Africa bids you well, until next time.
