We all meet at OR Tambo international airport, where you catch our shuttle to Land Rover Experience Gerotek. We get acquainted with our vehicles, before heading north and starting the journey of a lifetime. Our first night we camp at Pafuri River Camp on the outskirts of the world famous Kruger National Park. We sit back relax and enjoy our first evening together under the wild African sky.
An early starts as we make our way to Kruger Park at Pafuri Gate and then onto Pafuri border post where we enter Mozambique.
South we travel following the Limpopo until the crossing at Mapai, where we venture through the Limpopo, and onto Soa Jorge do Limpopo. We camp wild on the banks of the Limpopo River.
Our easterly trek continues as we cross the wild and beautiful reaches of Mozambique. We pass various little villages and camp in the African bush under the African stars once again.
After a good breakfast our destination for today is the coastal town of Vilancoulos. We pass the villages of Massemane and Mobote before we reach the main EN1 road at Mapinhane and travel the last 30km before reaching Vilancoulos.
We make our way to Blue Water Bay beach campsite, for a relaxing evening with the sound of the ocean wishing you to sleep
We spend the day relaxing and exploring. One could take a boat trip to Bazaruto, visit the local market in Vilancoulos or go snorkeling in the warm crystal clear Indian Ocean
Today we move North from Vilancoulos, we cross the Save River at Machanga, before we get to Chiboma and onto Inchope.
From Inchope we travel another, 60 km before we turn into the Gorongoza National Park and make our way to the main camp, Chitengo our home for the next few days
A relaxing day doing game drives, maybe even a hike up Mount Gorongoza.
Another relaxing day in this paradise
Today the trek South begins, as we travel the South along the EN1 and cross the Save River. Once across the Save we make our way to the sleepy town of Inhassoro and the campsite at Hotel Seta. Once we have settled in we go and sip sundowners in the bar while overlooking the azure blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
Tonight we enjoy some great seafood as well as the wonderful sea breeze
The Southerly trek continues in earnest today. We pass Maxixe Inharrime and just before we reach Quissico we turn towards the Ocean and make our way to our camp between the dunes and 100m from the sea, Praia Mar E Sol. We enjoy another great evening together, and maybe sample some of the local brew
A relaxing day on the beach beckons, another tough day in Africa
Reluctantly we say good-bye to Praia Mar E Sol and make our way back to the main road at Quissico. The EN1 then takes us towards Xai-Xai, and onto Macia. Following the EN1 and then the EN4 to Komatiepoort, and back into South Africa, where make our way to Crocodile bridge camp.
We enjoy our last evening together, under African Skies, listening for the roar of a Kruger Park Lion
After an early morning game drive, and our last bush breakfast we hit the road and make our way back to Land Rover Experience Gerotek, where our shuttle will be waiting for us.
