Meet at Villiers Engen One stop on the N3 at 07h30 (approximately 1.5 hours from Centurion) to depart by 08h00. We travel down the N3 to Mooi River, where we leave the Main road and head via Rosetta and Nottingham road to Himeville. In Himeville we prepare for the onslaught of the very steep Sani Pass. Once we reach the top of Sani Pass it is a short drive to our home for the night at the Sani Top Chalets.
After a sumptuous breakfast, we venture off in search of Africa’s snow. We spend the day in the mountains enjoying the snow and also doing a little bit of off-road snow driving.
After a great day on top of the mountain playing in the snow fun we make our way to the top of the world and look down over the land below. Tonight we sit around the cosy fire place at Sani Top.
After a warm and hearty breakfast the road takes us back to deeper into the roof of Africa, as we travel to Mogotlong and then a little south to bustling little mountain town of Thaba-Tseka.
Once through the town we continue exploring this mountain wonderland, and start making our way to the beautiful Katse Dam.
Once at Katse we book into the comfortable Katse Dam Lodge.
After our early morning breakfast we join the locals for a tour of the Katse Dam and all learn something new! The winding mountain road then takes us onto the border post at Caledonspoort and back into South Africa
